Having a painting mounted on the walls in your home can do a lot for its appearance, but if you don’t have it mounted securely, it could come crashing down easily. Unfortunately, drywall is not the ideal material for putting up items on the wall, but there is a remedy – wall anchors.
Wall anchors come in many different shapes and sizes, and they can help you to mount things on your walls securely.
When you purchase a wall anchor, you will notice that it is rated for a certain weight. Do not exceed this, or you run the risk of having your item fall, and possibly even taking a big chunk of drywall with it.
You should check the integrity of your walls before using wall anchors to mount stuff. If your walls feel soft, they might have had water damage and won’t be able to hold an anchor. It might be necessary to replace the drywall.
