However, there are a few things that you could do to prepare for an inspection that will save you time, sometimes quite dramatically.
For example, if you already know of things that need to be fixed, it is much better that you take care of this long before you have the inspection, otherwise it might add extra time.
You should also make sure that the inspector has full access to all areas of the home. Clearing up clutter in and around the home will help, and you should pay special attention to areas around your major appliances and circuit panel.
Light bulbs that are out should also be replaced so that the inspector won’t assume that there is a problem with a light fixture.
