Of course, the quality of the aluminium siding you use will have a bearing on its durability, as well. The thicker the panels, the better it will stand up against impacts that could dent it. This is important since nicks and dents in aluminium can be difficult and expensive to repair. Thicker aluminium will also prove to be a better insulator.
